hi friends,

i have been given the responsibility of preparing cash flow statement.Kindly, suggest me if it is enough if i generate it in Tally or prepare a separate statement.

Hi Tejaswini,

It is more advisable to prepare cashflow in Excel format if you don't have ERP packages like SAP / Oracle. Please try to avoid generating cash flow statement in Tally due to following reasons.

1). Tally cash flow is not accurate if the classification of accounts (consisting debit and credit balances) are not doen properly .

So it is more ideal to have Excel based and formula linked cash flow statement.
