In case employee has received salary revision with retrospective effect and one of his salary component is coming negative. This negative amount results in his gross total income less than Ptax Slab.
My query is whether he is liable to P tax on Gross income or Gross arrived after negative effect of one componenet.
Ptax is always calculated on the base of Actual Gross. You you have taken any OFF, as per that the ptax would be fractional calculation of the gross of relevant days
But my query is not regarding any off taken. I have revised the salary of one employee where in he got some arrears in one componenet and there was some recovery in another component.
In this case his actual gross is more than 10000 but due to recovery his gross is less than 2500.
So which gross is to be considered for PTAx Gross? Is it Rs. >10000 or Rs.<2500?
Need more details ? if possible pls. call on following

or explain in brief
