WHILE FILING THE RETURN FOR THE ASSESSMENT YEAR FORM 16 OR FORM 16-A IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE RETURN. SO IT WILL BE IMMATERIAL WHETHER THE FORM 16 HAS BEEN ISSUED IN NEW FORMAT OR THE OLD FORMAT. HOWEVER, IF THE INCUMBENTS REQUIRE THE NEW FORM THEY MAY BE ASKED TO RETURN THE OLD FORM AND THEN A NEW FORM CAN ALSO BE ISSUED.
