| brijendk Started The Discussion: Hi, All I am in confusion on the matter of service tax liability on freight charges. We are paying service tax liability on freight as consignee on the basis of charges, it is more than Rs. 650 per trip . If it is less then we do not pay any service tax. Will anybody clear the dillemma about service tax liability. Because I feel the consignee should take ceiling limit as rs. 5000 per bill not the per trip ceiling. Brijend Kr.
