You can go through the Business world magazine. Better get it from old book shop/paperwala. You can also contact their office for bound volumes of previous issues. You can typcially cover take overs in different sectors.

Banks- ICICI - Bank of Madura, Reliance - IPCL, BIRLA-L&T Cement, TATA-Corus, Oriental bank of commerce- Global trust bank, FMCG brands Ponds-HLL. I have just given some idea.. there are many more interesting Take overs...
