in case you are using an accounting software like Tally or Busy, then you open ledger heads like salary- staff and also connected heads like ESI,PF,Staff advance etc.,

Any case prepare the following before entry:
1. Pay Roll
2.Staff advance list
3.ESI and PF workings.
