With the recent announcement of Tata going to pull back itself from the Singur project, the automobile industrialists seem not to be happy. This move clearly shows that West Bengal is not at willing to go for industrial development. The politicians as well as environment activists making hue and cry outside Tata's office are of the opinion that if Tata goes on to set up Car Manufacturing plant there, the farmers will eventually have to move out from the land. It is only the land from where they earn bread and butter. If that is lost, what will happen to the families dependent on them? This topic has created a lot of controversy and i would like you to share your views with me.

Hi Unnati!
The statistics show that in places like delhi, chandigarh, punjab, jaipur, haryana and bangalore, 65% population prefers to purchase second hand cars. Hyundai Santro, Maruti WagnoR, Swift and Alto are in great demand nowdays. The most crucial reason why people like to go fo second hand cars is that it involves depreciation factor as well as newer makes can be taken care of at affordable rates.

The latest buzz in the second hand car market is that it is facing turbulent times with the coming of Tata Nano. This car has made ripples in the world and has given a tough competition to used car market. However, used cars are still in demand for many first time buyers mainly from the middle class category. Although Tata Nano will be readily affordable by everybody but the status symbol assosciated with more expensive cars will always stay so consumers wont stop buying the second hand cars of other luxury car companies. However, according to industry experts, with the launch of Tata Nano, it is expected that sales of other used small cars like Maruti 800 will go down.

Hope this information will help you to a certain extent for making your presentation.
