First, you need to select two similar schemes i.e. ELSS or open end equity oriented scheme or liquid fund etc. then:
You may compare the schemes on following parameters
1. Scheme Objectice
2. Returns (1 mth / 3mths/6tmhs/1yr/3yr/5yr)
3. Years of operation of scheme
4. Fund size (Asset Under Management)
5. Star ratings by Value research online
5. Dividend paying history
6. Fund Management Charges (Fund Expenses)
7. Entry Load / Exit Load
8. Most importantly the downfall in NAV of bad market days i.e. fall in NAV when sensex has fallen the most.
9. Movement of NAV with respect to movement of stock markets (the link between % of rise or fall in NAV with % fall or rise in market)
hope you find this useful
