Hi all, An employee had worked in X organisation for a part of the financial year where the employer has deducted tax at source on his salary on ad hoc basis. On resignation, the employee finds that the tax deducted by X is more than the required amount. He has joined Y organisation and Y has been deducting TDS on salaries. Can Y take into account the excess TDS by X and adjust against the TDS deductible by Y.
If the previous employer(X) has isued a TDS certificate, in that case the company Y will consider the excess TDS deducted i.e. while computing the tax in present company , TDS of previous employment will be taken into consideration.
