If you are a commerce background then on the basis of your education you can become a good accountant, but if you are not in commerce then you can learn this thru practical accounts (wroking in a company or there are separate classes is there like manual & computerised accounts writing)-an accountant should have knowledge of Banking-(deposit of checks/cash & payment to parties), Bank reconciliation, Debtors & creditors reconciliation, Posting of entries to General Legder & Preparation of Trial Balance, Assisting in Balance sheet & P&L A/c. You can learn this practically.
