pls suggest me that company is liable to deduct tds if salary of a person is 19000 pm or if the total amount paid to employe in year is 242000.00 (salary+bonus+leave encashment)
tell me that tds can be deducted from salary or not.
if yes than tell me the total tds payable by company.
break up of salary 14000 basic + 2500 + 2500 (hra + convy.)

IT department has made it mandatory on the part of the employers to deduct income tax compulsorily on the total payout made to an employee. TDS has to be made as and when the employer makes a payment towards emoluments under any category. The tax has to be dedcucted as at 31st March of the official Year and the FORM 16 should say that the tax due has been deducted in full. The employee will furnish the details of his tax plan for the Year and advise the employer, the extent of TDS to be made.
