yes! YTD is nothing but Year to date i,e., 1st-Apr’year to 31st mar’year. may be it is a fiscal year/ calender year, for corporate for world calendor it is financial year that is APr-Mar.
Ytd means Year to date — it is the uptodate figure from the begining of the year e.g. sale or expenses or production and so on from 1.4.09 to till date
YTD means year today. this concept is using for MIS report. while finance department submitting the report to management they has shown two aspects one is YTD and month / Qtly / Half of financial year basis.
It has shows profitability report on today date from the books starts.
