Dear All, Ours is a Service Unit in Gujarat & we are Authorised Service Dealer for A Machine Manufacturing Company in Maharashtra. This company send us spare parts for within warranty services with Excise Invoice of those spares. We replace the new spares & send them defective spares on receipt of which this Manufacturing Co. issues Credit Note to us. We do not make any payments for such invoices. Since billed CST 2% gets nullified against the CNI, need we issue any Form C for such transactions? Can anyone pl help me on this.

my first question is are you registered dealer under sales tax act, if the excise invoice contains the CST then you must provide them the C-form for the excise invoice, no need to provide the C-form for the Credit note.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your reply. Yes we are registered under Sales Tax. Credit Note is raised by manufacturing copy on us towards the said invoices. So, anyways, I presume, no C-form is to be issued for their credit note on us.But, Sir wouldnt the transaction get nullied as Rs. 1000/- (for eg. including taxes separately mentioned) bill becomes ZERO against Rs. 1,000/- (including taxes separatley mentioned) Credit Note of Manufacturing Company? Plese give your valued inputs. Thanks.P Desai

then out of my experience no need to give C-form, but the obligation to submit the C-form against the taxable sale is with manufacturing company, hence i suggest if they ask you the C-form give it other wise please don't be bother about that.
