Hi Members,
We have not deducted TDS on Rent for the month of October. Now we need to pay. Can we pay now? Is there any interest on the TDS amount? If yes, how much?
Please let me know. Waiting for your reply.

Sarita

Hi Dear all, Greeting’s from Ramesh Can you let me know, what is the presentage % of TDS interest and how calculate it. please give the example also. With Kind Regard’s Ramesh
Dear Ramesh,
As per my knowledge interest@1.5% per month should be levied on TDS amount till the payment of TDS.
But i don't know whether it is correct or not?
Anybody please help me out.
Thanks,
Sarita
Dear Sarita,
First your not write the how much rent monthly your have pay, if your rent annually exceed Rs.1,80,000/- it's mean monthly Rs. 15000/- then you must deducted 10% of TDS every month, I think you can pay TDS with Interest how much month you left, calculated the interest amount and pay it.
Please anybody give the right comments about above solution, it's correct or incorrect, because i'm not expertise it's field.
Thank's & kind regard's
Ramesh
Dear Sarita,
You can pay tds on rent with interest rate @ 1.5% from oct-Apr.12, but you h've not show how much the rent p.m.if rent is below of Rs.1,80,000/- p.y. or rs.15,000/-p.m.you have not pay any tds.and exceed this limit you will pay @ 10% tds.
Thanks,
