Hi Narain,

Congrats for the job in Corporate Planning. This is the most sought after areas where people wish to work. Since you have not elobarated much on your job profile, it would be difficult to advise whether an MBA would help.

The fact that you are already doing Masters in Human Resource Management, you need not think of any other qualification for some time. As said earlier, it all depends on nature of the current job and how wish to align this knowledge with your long term career goals. Your degree in HRM would certainly help you gain knowledge on aspects like performance management, training, compensation planning and lot of strategic areas in HR.

I guess, in your case, the need for MBA would be at the point where you have spent three to five years with a company and now want to shift. If you want to make career in HR- then your current degree is adequate. If you want to specialise in marketing or finance, it would be all the more useful. But all this will require steady and planned approach since balancing work, personal life and studies would be difficult when you have lot of things on your platter.

Hope that clarifies!!...all the best ...!!
